Introduction

Eduxie ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all users of our platform, including students, teachers, administrators, and parents. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Eduxie is primarily a school-managed platform, meaning schools and educational institutions control student account creation and management. We act as a data processor for educational institutions using our platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Directly from you: When you create an account, log in, update your profile, or communicate with us.
  • From schools: When your school administrator uploads student records or manages accounts on your behalf.
  • Automatically: When you use our Service, including usage data, device information, and analytics.

Student Accounts

Student accounts on Eduxie are typically created and managed by school administrators. When a school creates a student account, we may collect:

  • • Full name
  • • Email address or username
  • • Grade level or class information
  • • Student ID (as assigned by the school)
  • • Profile picture (optional)

For students under 13, Eduxie complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and ensures parental consent is obtained by the school administrator before creating accounts.

School-Managed Data

Schools are responsible for the accuracy and legality of all data they upload to or create within Eduxie, including:

  • • Student rosters and enrollment information
  • • Assignment data and due dates
  • • School announcements and communications
  • • Grades and academic records (if applicable)

Eduxie stores this data securely and only uses it to provide the Service. We do not use school data for marketing, analytics, or any purpose other than operating the platform.

Login Credentials

Users log into Eduxie using email, username, and password credentials. Passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard encryption and are never stored in plaintext.

Notifications

Eduxie may send notifications to users about:

  • • New assignments or due dates
  • • School announcements and updates
  • • Changes to account settings
  • • Service-related communications

Users can manage notification preferences in their account settings. Schools may also control notification settings at the institutional level.

Analytics and Usage Data

We collect aggregated analytics about how the platform is used, including page views, feature usage, and performance metrics. This data is used to improve the Service and is not linked to personally identifiable information.

We do not sell analytics data to third parties. Schools may access their own usage analytics through their administrative dashboard.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. Retention periods are determined by the type of data:

  • Active accounts: Data is retained while the account is active.
  • Deleted accounts: Most data is deleted within 30 days, except where required for legal, compliance, or security purposes.
  • School data: Retained per school data retention policies or until the school deletes their account.

Data Deletion Requests

For student accounts managed by schools, deletion requests should first be directed to the school administrator. Students may also submit deletion requests directly to support@eduxie.tech.

We will process deletion requests within 30 days and will permanently delete personal information, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

Third-Party Services

Eduxie may integrate with third-party services such as:

  • • Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (for SSO)
  • • Stripe or similar payment processors (for schools)
  • • Cloud hosting providers (for data storage)

We require all third-party partners to maintain similar data protection standards. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Security

Eduxie implements industry-standard security measures to protect personal information, including:

  • • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • • Encrypted data storage
  • • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • • Access controls and role-based permissions
  • • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) support

No system is completely secure. We encourage users to maintain strong passwords and enable MFA where available.

Children and Educational Use

Eduxie is designed for educational use by students of all ages, including minors. We comply with COPPA and similar regulations in other jurisdictions. Schools are responsible for obtaining necessary parental consent for students under 13.

We do not knowingly collect information from children without school or parental consent. If we become aware of unauthorized collection, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
